Max Neutra
Max Neutra has been gaining recognition as one of the premier live painters in the Los Angeles area and is known for his "delightfully twisted" aesthetic and wild live painting shows. It was on stage with bands such as Tweak Bird and Box Violet where Max first experimented with live painting. Since then he has been invited to participate in many large events such as the X-Games and Sunset Junction, as well as at regular art shows in the So-Cal area.

With a wild and frenetic painting style, he quickly creates images that are bold, honest, and at times shocking. Using mostly portraits, he often paints the beauty in nature and the grotesque in mankind, but he is fueled by his fascination with the physiological psychology of the creative act. He believes that artistic processes while informed by science, ultimately come from the unconscious limbic system of the brain and are mysterious. "The subject is just an excuse to paint the line. It's the line itself that speaks, and it always speaks the truth."

His work has been described as "A treat for the eye and mind", "A cross between comics and fine art", and "Definitely an amazing experience to watch."

Max describes his work as "Records of events, like rooms where very human acts of passion took place leaving stains on the wallpaper. You might be able to piece together what happened from the clues left behind, but only I know what really happened. I wasn't merely a witness, I was the provocateur. I get to keep the experiences, you can keep the pictures."
